We used to collect street art, and now it’s just masterpieces made with glitter and glue that take centre stage in our home. After three years of arts and crafts mayhem, we’ve finally found a stylish storage solution with Doodle Nest. This GENIUS company takes little masterpieces and transforms them into beautiful books, collages and cards to keepsake forever. Here, co-founder, Andrea Lee and I talk about all things arty…
As a mother with doodlers at home, I have to say that ‘Doodle Nest’ is genius! How did you come up with the idea to preserve kids doodles?
Doodle Nest is all about celebrating kids’ creativity. We love how excited and proud kids feel when they see that there art has been published. When kids are young they have an incredible imagination and they see and create things in the most pure and beautiful way. We love the idea of preserving those magical memories for years to come. As mums we are also delighted to be able to help other parents deal with those overwhelming piles of kids art that are taking over their homes.
We love your inspiration corner on your website, can you tell us how ‘Doodle Nest’ began?
Doodle Nest literally began in our kitchens. After running out of wall and fridge space we wanted to find a stylish and beautiful way to display our kids’ art.
Is the Doodle Nest process easy peasy?
We try and make the process as easy as possible for parents. All they have to do is give us their pile of art and we will do the rest. We use professional photography, Photoshop and design to really elevate those magical creations into a stunning gallery that families will cherish forever. We pride ourselves on delivering a premium service and the highest quality products - each book and collage we do is a work of art in itself.
Do your children love to draw and paint?
All our kids love being creative and getting messy. Some are more talented than others but it’s not really about that. It’s about having fun and finding an outlet to express themselves in this super fast paced world.
How would you describe ‘Doodle Nest’ in three words?

“As long as I can remember, food has always been a love of mine. I love the way food brings people together, when you eat good food it makes you feel good too. As a mother and like all mothers, I want to do what is best for my children. I believe a good clean diet is a good start. To share the love, I thought it would be a good idea to post some of my recipes for you all to enjoy!”
